Tennyson Street is a unique blend of locally owned shops and services, eclectic restaurants and art galleries.  A funky yet sophisticated urban neighborhood, Tennyson Street is emerging as one of Denver’s premier art, culture and dining destinations.  Rich in history, Tennyson Street was a streetcar corridor in the late 1800’s and the center of the Berkeley neighborhood in Northwest Denver.  The Oriental Theater has been a landmark that has beckoned to visitors for years.

Tennyson Street incorporates Cesar Chavez Park - a family friendly area to bring the dogs and kids.  The Berkeley Regis United Neighbors is an active neighborhood association that promotes sustainability and neighborhood involvement.  The Berkeley District Merchants Association provides a cohesiveness to the many merchants that call this street home.

In 2009, the Tennyson Alliance was formed.  Tennyson Street was a pilot project for the Denver Neighborhood Marketplace Iniative by the City of Denver.  The Tennyson Alliance is an umbrella organization for BRUN and BDMA.  Tennyson Alliance was active in the Tennyson Parking Study, Local Maintenance District, Tennyson Streetscape Improvement Project and ongoing city advocacy.  Our thanks to the Denver Office of Economic Development for their support and sponsorship.
